Blockcritics is an independent publication about the technology underneath web3.
We review the blockchains, tools and services that are actually enabling the next generation of the web — protocols, developer tooling, infrastructure, and the products built on top of them, across DeFi, DePIN, DeSci and the areas around them.
What we don’t do
We don’t care about market caps, token prices or trading volumes, and we don’t publish price predictions. There is no shortage of places to read that. What there is a shortage of is honest, technically literate writing about whether a given protocol or tool actually works, who it is useful for, and where it falls down.
That is the gap we write into. Nothing we publish is investment advice — see our Terms of Service.
How we work
When we review something, we try to use it rather than paraphrase its documentation. We link to primary sources so you can check our reasoning. Vendors don’t get approval over our coverage, sponsored content is always labelled as sponsored, and we correct our mistakes in public with a dated note rather than editing them away.
The full detail is in our Editorial & Corrections Policy, including how we handle sponsorship, affiliate links and conflicts of interest.
What you’ll find here
- Articles and reviews — our original writing on tools, protocols and the developer experience of building in web3. You can browse everything we’ve published in the full archive.
- Web3 Stream — a running feed of headlines from across the industry, each linking out to the original publisher. It’s there to save you a few tabs; the reporting credit belongs to whoever we’re linking to.
- The podcast — longer conversations, over on our podcast page.
