2049 Origins Hackathon
2049 Origins is TOKEN2049’s own hackathon, run over 36 continuous hours at Marina Bay Sands during Singapore’s biggest crypto week. Entry is free and includes meals plus full conference access to TOKEN2049 itself, which is the real draw: the conference alone runs to 25,000 attendees.
It is capped at roughly 200 builders and aimed at engineers from early and growth-stage startups, enterprise development teams, students and researchers. Teams are limited to four; solo applicants are welcome and the organisers will help unaffiliated builders find a team.
Two rules worth knowing before you apply: physical presence for the full 36 hours is mandatory, and no project work may begin before the official kickoff. Brainstorming beforehand is permitted. The top five teams demo live on the TOKEN2049 stage.
Applications close on 14 September 2026. The prize pool had not been announced at the time of writing.
